At Kapiti Delicious Doughs, I craft sourdough bread that's both traditional and extraordinary—light, fluffy loaves with thin, crispy crusts that deliver incredible flavor in every bite. All of my breads are dairy-free.

The secret starts with a carefully tended sourdough starter, enhanced with rye flour for that perfect tangy note. A touch of wholemeal flour is added for substance along with a splash of quality canola oil to keep the crumb soft and fresh for days. The result? A loaf that's satisfying without being heavy, complex without being complicated.

I give each loaf two full days to develop at my Paraparaumu micro-bakery. No shortcuts, no rush. During this time, natural yeasts slowly ferment the dough, transforming the flours to make nutrients more available and easier to digest. It's the difference between mass-produced bread and something made with intention—bread that's as good for you as it tastes.

All of my breads are dairy-free and freezer superstars – just slice before you freeze and enjoy bakery-fresh toast every day!

My classic slow-fermented soft sourdough, boosted with a generous mix of sunflower seeds and linseeds. These grains add a delicious nutty depth and a boost of natural fibre. Perfect for a nutrient-packed breakfast or a sturdy sandwich, and makes an amazing savoury side for your soup.

Dark Chocolate Sourdough

For the true chocolate lover. I’ve infused my signature soft sourdough bread with rich cocoa and a hit of sweetness, then folded in dark chocolate chunks for a double-flavour explosion. By using high-quality, high-percentage dark chocolate, I’ve kept this loaf entirely dairy-free without sacrificing an ounce of decadence. Incredible served warm with a smear of butter, piled high with sliced strawberries, a thick layer of jam or used as the ultimate base for French toast.
