Welcome to our little corner of the Kapiti Coast, where the rhythm of the tides meets the warmth of fresh-baked bread. I'm Meg, and this bakery is born from my love of crafting something truly special – sourdough bread that is equally kind to the roof of your mouth with a thin crust and soft crumb as it is for your gut with a dough that’s been slow-fermented for maximum digestibility.

What started years ago as a passionate hobby – experimenting with traditional recipes and perfecting my craft – has now blossomed into a business that celebrates the incredible natural process of fermentation. As a busy mum of two, I've discovered that turning my love of baking into something more has brought new joy to both my kitchen and our community.

Each hand-made loaf is mixed, shaped, and baked in small batches, ensuring maximum flavour and freshness in each bite right here on the Kapiti Coast.

I am a fully registered home-based baker, operating under Kapiti Coast District Council food safety guidelines. This means I make every loaf and focaccia in a kitchen that meets strict hygiene standards, ensuring what you receive is not only delicious but safely and professionally prepared.
